COLUMBUS EFFECTS ON EXCESS WEIGHT
A particularly interesting food for people overweight
The multiple qualities of eggs allow them to play an important role in a diet. This is even more true for Columbus eggs, whose characteristics make it a nutritionally unique egg:
- 25% less saturated fatty acids than a regular egg
- 10% less calories
- 15 times more omega-3
- 50% of daily intake of EPA/DHA type omega-3 (for 1 egg)
- Perfect balance between omega-3 and omega-6 (1 to 1)
9.6% Triglycerides and 20% insulin reduction
A Columbus study on overweight people, conducted in Spain over an eight-week period, analyses the impact of regular consumption of Columbus eggs compared to regular consumption of conventional eggs in postmenopausal women.
The study shows an improvement in the concentration of triglycerides (-9.6%) and insulin (-20%), as well as an impact on blood pressure (-6%) and weight (-0.6kg).
Two Columbus eggs provide 25% of the RDI in protein.
Columbus eggs, like other eggs, are a particularly interesting source of protein. In fact, two eggs provide 25% of the recommended daily intake (RDI). Proteins also have a satiating effect, which is particularly interesting for overweight people.
