COLUMBUS EFFECTS ON BLOOD PRESSURE
A random double-blind study on 42 healthy students with normal lipid parameters compared the effect of daily intake of two Columbus eggs versus two standard eggs on fasting insulin levels, systolic blood pressure and CRP (inflammatory state).
After 8 weeks, a significant decrease in systolic blood pressure (-6%), CRP (-14%) and fasting insulin (-28%) was observed with Columbus eggs compared to standard eggs.
