Alcohol free egg punch
Eggnog is a warming, delicious winter drink. The original recipe is a mix of milk, cream, cognac, beaten egg whites and egg yolk, but you can easily leave out the cognac. Here is a quick and easy alcohol-free recipe.
Ingredients (for 6 people)
- 4 Columbus egg yolks
- 60 cl whole milk
- 150 g powder sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
- 1 vanilla pod
Preparation
- In a saucepan, bring the milk to boiling point with the vanilla bean split in half.
- In the meantime, beat the egg yolks with the powder sugar until the mixture becomes pale.
- Pour the hot vanilla milk over the egg yolk-sugar mixture, while whisking.
- Divide into large glasses. Sprinkle with some cinnamon and serve immediately.
The Columbus tips
Eggnog can be stored in the refrigerator for two to three days. But you can also use the leftovers to make an eggnog French toast, for example. Delicious for breakfast!
