Hard-boiled Easter eggs
Ingredients (for 4 person):
- 4 Columbus eggs
- 8 cloves or peppercorns for the eyes
- Red pepper or carrot
- Green pepper
Preparation:
- Cook the eggs in boiling water for 10 minutes. Take them out and rinse them with cold water to remove the shells. Then place them on an egg cup to hold them securely.
- Use 2 cloves or 2 peppercorns to create the eyes of your rooster.
- From a red pepper or carrot, cut a small square piece about 1 cm long to make the beak of your rooster.
- Then cut another piece, larger this time, in the shape of a ridge to add to the top of your egg.
- Finally, cut a piece of green pepper with 3 separate stems that will serve as your rooster’s tail. Place them on the back of your egg and if you wish, hold them in place with a toothpick for a better hold.
And there you have it, a rooster egg!
