Pancakes alphabet
Here’s a fun recipe for pancakes in all shapes and sizes. All you need is a good pancake batter, a piping bag and a bit of application. Follow our recipe step by step.
Ingredients
- 2 Columbus eggs
- 250 g flour
- 60 g caster sugar
- 20 cl milk
- 70 g melted butter
- 1 sachet baking powder
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
Preparation
- Pour the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into a large bowl. Mix well and make a well in the centre. Pour in the eggs and whisk to combine. Gradually add the milk and melted butter until you have a smooth dough.
- Leave the dough to rest at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Spoon the batter into your piping bag.
- Heat and grease your pancake pan.
- Pour the pancake batter onto your hot griddle in the desired shape.
- When bubbles start to form on the surface of the pancake shapes, carefully flip them over. You may need to use two spatulas to flip the shapes without breaking them, depending on their size.
- Repeat the operation to obtain all the desired shapes, reheating the pan before each new cooking.
Columbus tip
If you don’t have a piping bag, you can use a plastic food bag with one corner cut off or a soft plastic ketchup or mayonnaise bottle, for example.
