In this article, we explain how to make a beautiful photo frame, made from eggshells. Feel free to make it in the color of your choice. For our example we have chosen a shade of blue.

What materials do you need?

• 1 cardboard or wooden photo frame (13x18cm)
• 5 eggshells
• Acrylic paint
• Varnish – glue (hobby stores)
• Acrylic brush and glue brush
• Cardboard plates for the color palette

How to proceed?

• Clean the eggshells.
• In a paper plate prepare several shades of color. Here we have chosen for blue: 1 white and 3 shades of blue, from lightest to darkest.
• Cover the frame with the darkest paint on your palette.
• Paint the shells with these different colors.
• Once the paint is dry, break the eggshells into small pieces.
• Glue the pieces side by side to the frame with the glue varnish. Apply light pressure to the shells so that they adhere well to the frame and cover with more glue. Don’t worry about the whitish appearance of the glue varnish, it disappears when it dries.
• Be sure to avoid putting the same colors side by side.
• It might take some time to cover the frame with the eggshell pieces but the result will be very nice!
