Cooking eggs in the Airfryer

Can you cook eggs in the Airfryer? Yes, it’s possible – in fact, it’s a quick and practical method that offers a host of delicious possibilities. The Airfryer cooks eggs evenly and quickly, while reducing the amount of added fat. A tasty and healthy way to enjoy eggs in all their forms! We’ll share a few tips with you for the more classic shapes. You’ll see, it’s child’s play!

Soft or hard-boiled eggs

  • Preheat the Airfryer to 120°C.
  • Place the eggs in the basket and cook for about 8 minutes for a boiled egg, 10 minutes for a soft-boiled egg and 12 minutes for a hard-boiled egg.
  • Important: as soon as you remove the eggs from the Airfryer, immerse them in ice-cold water. Otherwise, the eggs will continue to cook.

Scrambled eggs

  • Preheat the Airfryer to 160°C.
  • Beat the eggs in a bowl, then add the milk, salt and pepper, nutmeg and turmeric.
  • Pour the mixture into a non-stick pan suitable for the Airfryer.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.

Cocotte eggs

  • Preheat the Airfryer to 180°C.
  • Place the eggs in individual Airfryer ramekins. Add one tablespoon of crème fraîche per ramekin. Season with salt and pepper, nutmeg and turmeric.
  • Add a little chopped chives if required.
  • Cook for 8 to 10 minutes.

Omelette

  • Preheat the Airfryer to 180°C.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs with a fork until smooth. Season with salt and pepper, nutmeg and turmeric.
  • Pour the mixture into a non-stick dish suitable for the airfryer.
  • Cook your omelette for 10-12 minutes.
  • Once your omelette is a lovely golden colour, take it out and leave to cool for a few minutes before serving.
